This month sees the launch of Business Focus Burton (BFB) a local, non-profit, friendly yet dynamic breakfast network meeting. It is held every Thursday at 7.15am at The Riverside Hotel, Branston, Burton upon Trent.
It was set up as an authentic, supportive group of professionals and tradespeople. with a one-seat policy.
Yolanda Ride, of Else Solicitors said: “I was initially reluctant to attend, as previous groups had not worked for me. However, I felt so welcome I now look forward to going each week. If I can’t make it, my colleagues enjoy attending. It has generated genuine referrals and substantially increased my network.”
The group is interested in learning about individuals’ professions, and members often help each other out. There are member offers available including a free review of terms & conditions, free business review (accountancy), free door adjustment and security review, etc. At the moment it has 14 members, each of whom pay £10 for breakfast each week and £20 per month for administration. The first direct debits are going out this month. Guests are welcome.
The meetings are chaired by Mark Santi of Pick Me Locksmith, ex Household Cavalry. Mark says: “I am passionate about my reputation and growth. I credit individuals within BFB with helping me to become an authority within my industry.”
The meeting starts with a welcome and coffee, followed by individuals introducing themselves, sharing good news, tips and what they are looking for. Members and guests then enjoy breakfast, after which there is a ten-minute presentation from one of the members. In addition, there is a further two-minute advice slot from a different business. The meeting finishes with ideas and referrals.
