Tips to help you enter #SmallBiz100

Here at Burton Small Business we are very keen to see a Burton-based business in the annual, national #SmallBiz100 for 2018.

This would make it four consecutive years that a town-based business has been in the 100 – a great achievement for a place the size of Burton.

So, on Friday June 1, the day that applications for this year’s #SmallBiz100 open, we’re hosting an informal drop-in session in the foyer of the Holiday Inn Express hotel, Burton, where you can find out more about the #SmallBiz100 and the whole Small Business Saturday campaign of which it is part. Stay as long as you like between 10.30am and 1.30pm and you can also network with other local businesses.

Jack Dent in Downing StreetBurton’s run of success in the campaign started in 2015 when one of the Burton Small Business founders, Elaine Pritchard, was in the 100. In 2016 it was the turn of local magician Jack Dent, of J D Magic. In 2017, Tilley Bancroft of Red Door Studios and Burton Small Business was in the 100.

Elaine will be at the event all morning and Jack Dent will join us for an hour from 10.30am. They are looking forward to telling you about the difference being a #SmallBiz100 company made to them.

To book your free ticket for the Burton #SmallBiz100 launch, go to Eventbrite. The bar will be open for you to buy hot or cold drinks and snacks throughout the morning.
