After celebrating its 30th anniversary recently – making it the longest-established business networking and support group in town – Burton Business Club has a new look and a new style for the new year.
For the whole of 2018, membership fees are waived and anyone can become a member of the club, and enjoy the benefits it offers, by going along to its meetings on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The club is also returning to meeting every month, on the second Tuesday, except in January when its first new-style meeting will be on Tuesday January 16.
Chair of the business club, Richard Lloyd, explained: “We’ve had a successful celebration of our 30th anniversary and we felt that in the modern world it was time to update the way we work so that we can engage with as many people as possible – but in a less formal way.
“The new pay-as-you-go model makes it affordable and flexible for people to get involved with the club and meet informally in the town centre every month. By attending our meetings people can enjoy all the benefits of club membership, including an online presence in our business directory and the use of our logo showing that they are a member of the club.”
The business club is in the process of moving to a new online hub as part of the LoveBurton website, and you can read more here: loveburton.uk/business.
The first meeting of 2018 will be held at Burton’s Favourite Thai restaurant in the town’s market place on Tuesday January 16 from 6.30pm. The meeting will be a chance to network informally, make new connections, seek support for your business and enjoy a Thai buffet. Tickets are £20 each and must be booked in advance here on Eventbrite.
