The #BuckieLovesSmallBiz tour took to the streets of Burton-on-Trent, in Staffordshire, to celebrate the fifth annual Small Business Saturday UK and raise the profile of the town’s wide range of small, independent businesses.
The project was the idea of 2017 #SmallBiz100 Tilley Bancroft of Red Door Studios. Supported by puppeteer Ian Whittle, fellow Burton Small Business founder Elaine Pritchard of Caittom Publishing and Jo Foster of Lumina Studios she took to the streets of Burton to visit a host of local businesses.
The route of the tour took them to Langans’s Tearooms; Calm Yoga Studio, Ahoy Sailor Vintage, Cafe B, H J Richards & Son jewellers, Helen’s Bakehouse and Tea Rooms, Burton Market, Burton Market Hall, The Kandy Factory, The Hideaway, Why Not Gallery and Alphabet Gift Shop.
The main sponsor of our tour was Zero Gravitee printers who provided T shirts for Buckie’s entourage and flyers, which we handed out to explain what the day was all about.
Tilley said: “We’re thrilled to have been chosen as one of this year’s Small Business Saturday #SmallBiz100’s, and Buckie was pretty excited to visit our fabulous fellow small businesses to share the Small Business Saturday message.
“Here is our video of Buckie’s adventures, all to celebrate Small Business Saturday, shopping local and supporting independent businesses.”
