Patrick will take delegates out of the conference room to show them the DE14 nano brewery and explain how the brewery is working with home brewers and experimenting with new styles and flavours.
Patrick is the man in charge of producing Marston’s iconic brews and has 20 years’ experience having joined the company as a 16-year-old apprentice straight from school. His mum had worked in the research and development laboratories of another brewery, which had got him interested in the art and craft of producing beer.
He worked across all aspects of brewing and production and tackled a host of brewing qualifications along the way – finally landing the ultimate qualification of Master Brewer after five years of hard work. His journey mirrors the journey of many small business owners and has needed the same qualities of drive and determination as well as the ability to innovate and organise.
Applications for free tickets to the event have now closed, but you may still be able to join the waiting list. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out. Read more about the event and the other eight speakers here.
